Almond in frangipane guise along with pistachio extract and rowan, iris and gentian reinforce an alluring illusion of sweetness as well as of complexly wafting perfume; and a faint, noble suggestion of mushroom lends unanticipated savor. Predictably for its vintage, this buoyant, transparent, polished bottling finishes with more nuances than one can find mineral descriptors for, but chalk, smoke and salt - while pretty obvious - allude at least imperfectly to a spellbindingly sustained sense of interactive and intriguing if illusive nuances all set within an infectiously juicy and mouthwateringly savory context. Plan to follow this beauty - lucky few who can both find it and afford it - for another 6-8 years.(The Wine Advocate, Nov 30, 2013) ºÏÇݾú¤²È¤ÎµðÀ± ¥¸¥ã¥Ã¥¯ ¥»¥í¥¹ Jacques Selosse ¥¸¥ã¥Ã¥¯¡¦¥»¥í¥¹¤Ï¥Ó¥ª¥Ç¥£¥Ê¥ßÇÀË¡¤òȯŸ¤µ¤»¤¿¥«¥ê¥¹¥Þ¤Ç¤¹¡£ ¥»¥í¥¹¤ÎȪ¤Î¼ù¤Î³èÎϤä¥Ö¥É¥¦¤Î½ÏÀ®¤ÏÊÌʪ¤Ç¤¹¡£ ¥Ö¥ë¥´¡¼¥Ë¥å¤Ç³Ø¤Ó¡¢Ã®¤ò»È¤¦¾ú¤ˡ¤ò´°À®¤µ¤»¤Þ¤·¤¿¡£ °ì¼¡È¯¹Ú¤âÆó¼¡È¯¹Ú¤âÌîÀ¸¹ÚÊì¤ò»ÈÍѤ·¤Þ¤¹¡£ ͵¡Åª¤ÊºÏÇÝ¡¢Ã®¤Ë¤è¤ë¾ú¤¡¢¥½¥ì¥é¥·¥¹¥Æ¥à¡¢Ã±°ìȪ¤Î¥¥å¥ô¥§¡Ä¡Ä¿¤¯¤Î¥°¥í¡¼¥ï¡¼¤¬Èà¤ÎÇØÃæ¤òÄɤ¤¤«¤±¡¢¥Æ¥í¥ï¡¼¥ë¤òɽ¸½¤¹¤ëÊý¸þ¤Ë¸þ¤«¤¤¤Þ¤·¤¿¡£ Èà¤Û¤ÉÂ礤ʱƶÁ¤òÍ¿¤¨¡¢¼ã¤¤Â¤¤ê¼ê¤ò¿¨È¯¤·¤¿¥°¥í¡¼¥ï¡¼¤Ï¤¤¤Þ¤»¤ó¡£ ÁíÀ¸»ºÎÌ5000¥±¡¼¥¹¼å¤Î¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¡¼¥Ë¥å¤Ï¡¢À¤³¦Ãæ¤Çõ¤·µá¤á¤é¤ì¡¢¥×¥ì¥ß¥¢¥à²Á³Ê¤ò¤Ä¤±¤Æ¤¤¤Þ¤¹¡£ ¥¸¥ã¥Ã¥¯ ¥»¥í¥¹ °ìÍ÷¤Ø ¥¸¥ã¥Ã¥¯ ¥»¥í¥¹ ¥ß¥ì¥¸¥à 2002 ¥é¥Ù¥ëÉÔÎÉ ¥¸¥ã¥Ã¥¯¥»¥í¥¹ Jacques Selosse Millesime ¥Õ¥é¥ó¥¹ ¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¥ó ¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¡¼¥Ë¥å 448,000 円

Polished and subtly creamy in texture yet brightly juicy with apple and lemon, this displays an uncanny sense of lift and refinement, perfectly complementing the honeysuckle and heliotrope perfume that waft inner-mouth. You could lose yourself in the ineffability of this wine¡Çs floral diversity and in its resonantly nut and grain low tones. Hints of apple pip lend subtle additional piquancy on a long and at once soothing as well as stimulating finish, with suggestions of oyster liquor becoming prominent as the bottle stands open for a few minutes, and serving to milk the salivary glands for all that they are worth. Given the relative infrequency with which a vintage is ¡Èdeclared¡É by Krug, their ¡ÈCollection¡É bottlings represent the remnants of an already elite band. But this 1989 represents the first re-release from the only series of three consecutive vintage bottlings - 1988-1990 - in Krug¡Çs history. The mingling of saline, nutty, and caramelized notes in the nose - adumbrating this wine¡Çs entire performance - is gorgeous. Butter-toasted hazelnuts, dried wild mushrooms, kelp, and cocoa mingle in a silken, mouthwateringly saline and savory matrix reminiscent of oyster liquor laced with fresh lemon juice (because, there is still a youthfully citric store of energy here). This finishes with correspondingly pronounced umami and with tangy vibrancy of citrus and salt. After a day open, the nutty elements become more piquant and walnut-like, but the smoky hints of oxidation remain balanced by citric and mineral elements and positively integrated into a mysteriously diverse show. The palate becomes plusher (perhaps in part due to diminishing mousse) and creamy in an almost whipped-cream fashion, yet the long finish continues to offer uncanny refreshment. Certainly this can be safely held for at least a few more years and perhaps in an ideal cellar will ¡Èplateau¡É (or continue to).(The Wine Advocate, Nov 30, 2013) ¡Ö¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¥ó¤ÎÄ벦¡×°û¤à¤¿¤Ó¤Ë¤¢¤ëȯ¸«¤È¤¤é¤á¤¯´¶Æ° ¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥° Krug 1843ǯ¤Ë¥è¥Ï¥ó¡á¥è¥¼¥Õ¡¦¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥°¤Ë¤è¤Ã¤ÆÀßΩ¤µ¤ì¤¿Í³½ï¤¢¤ë¥á¥¾¥ó¤Ç¤¹¡£ ¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥°¤Ï¤½¤Îǯ¤Î250¶è²è¤Î¥ï¥¤¥ó¤ÈËÄÂç¤Ê¥ê¥¶¡¼¥Ö¥ï¥¤¥ó¥é¥¤¥Ö¥é¥ê¡¼¤Ë¤¢¤ë¡¢°Û¤Ê¤ë14ǯʬ¤Î150¶è²è¤Î¥ï¥¤¥ó¤È¥Ö¥ì¥ó¥É¤Îµ»½Ñ¤òÁȤ߹ç¤ï¤»¡¢¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥° ¥°¥é¥ó¥É¡¦¥¥å¥ô¥§¤ÎÀ¸»º¤È¡¢¤¹¤Ù¤Æ¤Î¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥° ¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¡¼¥Ë¥å¤ÎÈþ¡¢É½¸½¡¢¥¨¥ì¥¬¥ó¥¹¤ò¼Â¸½¤¹¤ë¤Î¤ËɬÍפʻþ´Ö¤òÀäÂÐŪ¤Ëº½Å¤·¡¢ËèǯºÇ¹â¤Î¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¡¼¥Ë¥å¤ò¤¤ê¤¢¤²¤Æ¤¤¤Þ¤¹¡£ ¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥° °ìÍ÷¤Ø ¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥° ¥³¥ì¥¯¥·¥ç¥ó 1989 Krug Collection ¥Õ¥é¥ó¥¹ ¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¥ó ¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¡¼¥Ë¥å[¤Î¤³¤ê1ËÜ] 298,000 円

The wine explodes from the glass with an exotic, liqueur-like expression of rich, ripe fruit. Warm oxidative and honeyed tones add complexity as this large-scaled, dramatic Champagne opens up in the glass. This is an especially rich version of Contraste, most likely owing to the presence of 2003 juice. Ideally, Contraste is a wine best enjoyed at the dinner table, where its decidedly vinous qualities will be best appreciated. Going forward, Selosse has decided to vinify and age the Ay and Ambonnay parcels separately. It will be fascinating to see how those wines develop. They were highly promising when I last tasted them from barrel about a year ago. Sadly, Contraste is not available in the US, although I hope that will change soon, as I am one of the wine's biggest fans. Disgorged December 3, 2008. Where do I start? Everything about the wine is sensational from start to finish. An endless array of crushed rocks, minerals and bright citrus emerges from this intensely pointed, chiseled Champagne. The elegance, though, is really in the texture. The wine has acquired an element of vinosity over the years, with the tiniest and finest of bubbles and simply extraordinary finesse. It is a wine of mind-blowing purity and breathtaking elegance. Simply put, wine does not get better than this. The 1988 Clos du Mesnil is an eternal wine.(Vinous, July 2011) ¡Ö¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¥ó¤ÎÄ벦¡×°û¤à¤¿¤Ó¤Ë¤¢¤ëȯ¸«¤È¤¤é¤á¤¯´¶Æ° ¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥° Krug 1843ǯ¤Ë¥è¥Ï¥ó¡á¥è¥¼¥Õ¡¦¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥°¤Ë¤è¤Ã¤ÆÀßΩ¤µ¤ì¤¿Í³½ï¤¢¤ë¥á¥¾¥ó¤Ç¤¹¡£ ¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥°¤Ï¤½¤Îǯ¤Î250¶è²è¤Î¥ï¥¤¥ó¤ÈËÄÂç¤Ê¥ê¥¶¡¼¥Ö¥ï¥¤¥ó¥é¥¤¥Ö¥é¥ê¡¼¤Ë¤¢¤ë¡¢°Û¤Ê¤ë14ǯʬ¤Î150¶è²è¤Î¥ï¥¤¥ó¤È¥Ö¥ì¥ó¥É¤Îµ»½Ñ¤òÁȤ߹ç¤ï¤»¡¢¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥° ¥°¥é¥ó¥É¡¦¥¥å¥ô¥§¤ÎÀ¸»º¤È¡¢¤¹¤Ù¤Æ¤Î¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥° ¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¡¼¥Ë¥å¤ÎÈþ¡¢É½¸½¡¢¥¨¥ì¥¬¥ó¥¹¤ò¼Â¸½¤¹¤ë¤Î¤ËɬÍפʻþ´Ö¤òÀäÂÐŪ¤Ëº½Å¤·¡¢ËèǯºÇ¹â¤Î¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¡¼¥Ë¥å¤ò¤¤ê¤¢¤²¤Æ¤¤¤Þ¤¹¡£ ¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥° °ìÍ÷¤Ø ¥¯¥ê¥å¥Ã¥° ¥¯¥í ¥Ç¥å ¥á¥Ë¥ë 1988 ÌÚÈ¢Æþ¤ê ¥¯¥í ¥É ¥á¥Ë¥ë Krug Clos du Mesnil ¥Õ¥é¥ó¥¹ ¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¥ó ¥·¥ã¥ó¥Ñ¡¼¥Ë¥å[¤Î¤³¤ê1ËÜ] 498,000 円

Very pure and fresh on the structured palate, this is a straight and rather lean yet intense Champagne that reveals some ripe gooseberry aromas on the pure and salty finish.
